Shall we expect that HP will have drivers/softwares for their AIO products on Vista release?

Judging by their past history and their absolute silence on software and
drivers for their printers so far...... Shall we expect that they will
provide drivers when Vista is released (or shortly afterwards) at all? I am
concerned that when Vista is released, HP's stance will change to something
like "Vista has just been released and our developers needs time to develop
drivers/software on the new platform....."

That would really sucks and will be a load of cr@p........

Nobody is even talking remotely about a beta now which really concerns me
that the above is going to happen.........

I think the question should be, which products will HP provide drivers for.
There are so many different HP products out there that would require updated
drivers that I doubt seriously that all will be updateable. I've got an
OfficeJet 7210 that is about a year old (which I have working, more or less)
and I wonder if they will even go back that far. No one knows but the
Shadow and he ain't talking.

In most cases, the Windows 2003 or XP printer driver will work OK under
Vista.

That woudl depend on the particular make and model - some will, some won't -
for some, some devices, some functions may work while others don't/

Unfortunately, as when Windows XP was introduced, we're at the mercy of the
manufacturers/vendors..

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
