Can anyone tell me why my dv-avi is nervous at the top and bottom ? Is it
just the playback at my pc and will it dissapear at my tv ?
Or is it my pc that is simply too old ?; PIII, 1 Gb, 384 mb, Geforce ddr.
Can defragmentation help ? If yes, at capture or at rendering ?

How can I improve the quality ? Do I have to use a programm like Sony Vegas
?

Thanks in advance,

Arnold

if the original video is from an analog source, then some nervous lines are
normal....

No, a (digital) Sony PC7 captured by firewire. I just made a small movie
with EditStudio 5 Pro; same problem :-((

Should I change the use of memory from "~backgroundtasks" to "software" ?
(forgot where to do that).

I've noticed that too and any time I play my video back on my tv, the shaky
lines aren't there.

Really ? And what are the specifics of your pc ?

Another answer of someone on
http://www.windowsmoviemakers.net/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=20496 :

"Right off the top of my head, a couple of things. The bad news is that a P3
1GHz is not going to cut it in the long run. If you don't want to change
machines right now, an investment in more RAM would be in order, especially
to get it up to at least 1G. Is the GEForce an AGP card? All of this points
to the fact that speed is king in video editing". BTW, what do you mean by
"nervous?"
