Suddenly have shadows across our monitor. Not on desktop,
only around "open windows" or applications opened with
text. We assumed monitor and bought new one. SAME problem.
Someone else on other help site posted perfect picture of
this problem.

Any suggestion for this mystery?

We have Windows 2000 Professional running in an NT
Environment (whatever THAT means) as we do not network,
single station. Thanx all!

Display properties Refresh Rate?
Currupt display driver?
In Hardware Devices uninstall/remove display adapter, reboot and allow win
to reinstall the device.

More often than not it's down to cheap video cables or extenders. Try
connecting the monitor with *only* the cable provided by the
manufacturer and re-routing cables to avoid sources of interference.
Also, if possible, re-locate the equipment to see if the problem
occurs elsewhere.

You could be using a refresh rate which is less than optimal for your
monitor and/or graphics card. Try changing it within display
properties; normally problems such as this are an indication the
refresh rate is to high for your equipment so try dropping it.

Failing that it's possible your graphics card is on it's way out.

Mostly it's a symptom of bad video RAM. You can replace AGP/PCI adapter or
try to reduce the amount of shared memory in case of built-in video adapter.

THANK YOU ALL, I will go try ALL suggestions! WILL POST
results for NEXT person since I see this OUT there a lot
and everyone (other boards) has been told NEW monitor.
That is NOT it! :) thanx again!
