shadow virus

Hi I'm new to all this stuff but I've been told that I
have a "shadow virus" its got something to do with memory
and I read something about MS- DOS mode can someone
please tell me how to delete it off my system (simple
words please) my O.S is windows xp home edition thanks in
advance

Install an anti-virus program such as Norton or McAfee...
