Hi

I have Server 2003 with 1TB RAID 5 and has enabled shadow copies of
this drive to another 200GB disk. With Windows 2003 client everything
works fine all remote clients can see a list of all previous versions,
but not on the Windows 2000. Most of our computers Win2000 serversand
only 3 Win2003 (One of them described above). Domain controller also
Windows 2000.
I have installed distributed by Microsoft client software
(ShadowCopyClient.msi) on client and on the server.
When I go to the shadowed folders on Win 2000 I can see "Previous
version" tab, but when I click on it it shows empty list though is has
more than 10 shadow copies.
I also have some problems with DC. It constantly generates "duplicate
SID" for the Windows 2003 server (but it doesn't affect anything else
- computer is member of domain and works fine - no network problemms)
Could it be the reson ?
If anyone now anything about it please reply. Microsoft has zero on
this case.

Thank you
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

Can you give more details about the client-side configuration that has
problems (Windows 2000 with Previous Versions client MSI):
1) Can you see the previous versions when you look at the share
through UNC path (and not through a network drive)?
2) Can you see the previous versions when you go into an inner folder
under the share? (i.e. not when you are in the root).

Thanks, Adi
