I am repairing a system that was infected with the
W#@.HLLP.Kindal@mm. virus, and the instructions from
Norton include instructions on editing a registry value
called SFCDisable=0. The instructions from Norton are as
follows, Navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion, modify the value data in the value
name: "RegisteredOwner" to refer to the computer owner. I
did that, but the next instruction is "in the right pane,
modify the value to "SFCDisable"= "0" The only value I
can change is the registered owner name.
