I have been experiencing problems with many games
recently where they would simply lock up, wether open gl
or directx. Updated all drivers for NVIDIA and Direct x9,
problem persisted. I decided to start my system from
scratch, new mother board and hardrive too with clean
install of windows xp. The only thing this solved was to
allow me to use card on some games with older 43.45
drivers. But certain corruptions show in games and
applications using dos modes, where it didn't happen
before. Direct X tests have also locked up when not using
43.45 drivers. Windows own generic drivers have problems
too after completely removing the nvidia latest drivers.
This leads me to believe that my card may be faulty?
Please help if anyone has had similar and knows how to
fix this issue???

Try testing your system memory for starters:
Windows Memory Diagnostic
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp

If it still locks up in games, go into your system bios and change your AGP
aperture size to bare minimal, reboot and play games. Your games will slow
down, but if it doesn't lock up, go back into your system bios and jack up
the AGP aperture size to the next size up, and play games again. Repeat
these steps until lock up occur and than step down your AGP aperture size.

Thanks

I have tried the menory tests from microsoft, and my memory comes out fine.
I have tried all aperature settings and this to makes no difference?

I don't know if I said before but i have installed direct x 8.1 and then the
latest 9 as it doesn't complete the 2D fullscreen tests either. Not even on
the 43.45 driver where my 3d works.

Does anybody think this is my Graphics card broken? or still a driver
problem?

Did you any motherboard drivers(from a cd) that needs to be installed?

Thanks
