Hi,
I built a computer using intel D850MV Motherboard and a 1.9GHz pentium 4 chip (400 MzFSB). I have 258MB RD RAM and every time I try to set up Windows XP from the CD the program gets to the page where it says press enter to set up the screen goes blank for a sceond and when it comes back up it says collecting profile information. At this point the machine crashes. The mother board is about 2 years old. I need to know if any one else has encountered such a problem.

At only two years old, the motherboard should be compatible with Windows XP
but you never know. Have you checked it with the Microsoft Windows XP
Hardware Compatibility List? Are you booting from the XP install CD?
