Setup Wizard has encountered a problem

No matter how I try to install or run setup.exe or wizard.exe, I get blown
out of the program and asked about sending an error message to Bill Gates.
I've reinstalled .Net but now am lost
 
I guess it might help if you mentioned what you were trying to install,
Office version? on what o/s? from what scource?
