Setup wizard does not save settings

MS Antispyware used to work great. Everything was working
fine, until I got hit with Farmmext.exe and Shopathome .
once those were removed, now when I start MS Antispyware,
the setup wizard comes up and I have to go through the
process every time. then it does not save my settings for
autoupdate for ms antispyware and autoscans. Any ideas?
I'm going to try system restore to 2 days ago, when it
used to work.

Restore did not work. I uninstalled and than had to
manually remove the install directory. then install ms
antispyware to create a new setup file. That seemed to
have worked.

If I look in the error log, I get multiple entries of this

and this is the last entries before the failure messages

Anyway my issue is resolved. Error log might help someone
else.

Thanks for posting. I've seen this symptom reported before--glad you were
able to work around it.
