Setup Windows XP incl SP2

When trying to repair Windows XPsp2 the setup hangs during installing devices.
It means that i see the message "34 minutes " to finish but there it just
stops. No error messages nothing,
Every time i start the system again it will try to resume the setup. Is
there a possibility to override this behaviour and to start from the original
installation?

I just found out when it stops.
In the setuplog i get a message that durring applying security setting an
unrecoverable error occured.

Please someone gives me a solution.

Btw, you can increase SetupAPI log level to see more details on where and how it is failing. Search MSDN on the SetupAPI log level
settings.
