setup unable to install MSI component

I'm trying to install Norton internet sécurity. After extracting the file, a
window displays a message that I need to have windowa installer on my PC... I
say yes to update... its starts updationg then I get the mesage: setup
unable to install MSI component.

Help please,

Goto Windows Update web-site
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com


and download ALL critical and important updates for your Operating System
using the Express install.So you'll have the latest version of the
Installer,too.

Doa google BEFORE you install norton. There are better products
available, many of them are freeware.
