Hi all,

When installing Win2K3 I can complete the DOS fase, then the machine
restarts to the next fase.
- Press F6 to add SCSI drivers .....
- Press F2 for ASR
- Loading drivers ... ( loading lost of drivers )
- Now starting Windows
But the machine reboots and starts the second fase all over, and the machine
reboots ............

Unless I turn off L1 cache in my BIOS settings, but this makes my machine
perform like a good old 80486. After 27 hours I pulled the plug.

Please tell me there is some trick, otherwhise I will have to buy a new
machine.

Current config:
PII - 450
128+256 MB
10 GB disk
CD-ROM + CD-Writer
BIOS version needed ?

Waiting,
Rob

I think you know that this is a hardware compatibility problem. I would
try pulling the extra memory first. Mixed 128+256 is not the best. I
would also update BIOS. If those don't work I think you will have to buy
a new machine. Good news is you can get a very nice Dell for under $500.
