This posting is more for documenation purposes only. I recently ran
across a problem when doing a chained silent install of multiple
programs.
There was a master script/batch file that was calling several
execuatables in a row. About half way through, the remainder of the
installations failed and all returned an error code of 3221225794.
After googling for this error code I came up with nothing so this is
the reason for my post. In my case, what the problem turned out to be
was one of the installations higher in the list was causing the
computer to reboot. Therefore, when the following installations tried
to launch they would fail becuase Windows XP was in a shutdown
process.
In my case, the exe's returning the code were Wise Script installers,
however I have a feeling that this could actually be a Windows System
error code (but I've found no documentation to support this.)
To correct the problem, just simply ajust the switches on whatever
installation is causing the reboot and the subsequent installations
will complete.
