setup outlook 97 email

I use cox ISP and I am new to outlook, I have no idea what to use for the
servers SMTP and POP3, also is the account name the same as the ISP account
name and password? Thanks.

Follow the instructions provided by your ISP's web help pages or call
their tech support. They know the settings.

While you'll need to get the smtp and pop servers from the isp, you should
reconsider the use of outlook 97. It's buggy and insecure. It doesn't handle
pop3 well and is very slow. You'd be better off using OE unless you have a
specific reason you must use outlook 97 - such as you use a very old PDA and
it's sync software only works with Outlook 97.

If your ISP requires SMTP authentication, then you won't be able to use
Outlook 97 at all. It can't do SMTP authentication.
