Setup New Menu?

How can I set up a new menu system for my website www.HistoricHomeWorks.com

I would like to have a vertical graphic at the left of each page, and
have visitors click in certian areas of the graphic for menu selections
that operate just like the current menu choices at the top and bottom of
each page.

There are a lot of pages at the website, so I'd like to new menu to work
with little or no reformatting of all the pages.

How can this be done with FP2000?

Thanks for your help.

John

Either try FP shared border (w/ Nav bars - create a navigation view)
or FP Include pages w/ your own graphics nav

Thanks for your quick reply.

I read that shared borders can be difficult to use and can cause
problems, so I don't think I'll go in that direction.

OK, I am now using FP Include Pages, at the top and bottom of each page
on the website, so that might be the way to go, since I would only have
to change one file, which is the one used for Included Pages. Is it
correct that I would have to change only this file?

Right now my Included Pages file simply shows a text based menu (see
below). How can I get the Include Pages file to display a graphic menu
up and down along the left margin of the page? And how do I get the rest
of each webpage to display to its right?

Following is the content of the included pages file.

Just change your text based links to some images
- if you want it automatic see the FP Nav View and Nav bars w/ Theme
(but they are very limited)

Build you pages w/ a 2 column table
- left for your Include page, right for your content
Or see Help on the new FP 2003 Dynamic Web Templates

OK, I think a 2 column table is the way to go, and I already know how to
do it one page at a time. Is there a way to do it automatically all at
once for all pages on the website?

John

Only w/ Shared borders
Better still w/ a DWT

Only w/ Shared borders

Yes, I see how shared borders could be used, but I would like to use a
table if possible. Is the FP2000 "search & replace" feature robust
enough to be used to operate in the HTML tab to "automatically" set up a
table on every page?

John

No.
