Does anyone know if Outlook still supports newsgroups? I
don't see any way of setting it up using the tools within
Outlook, only email setup. I haven't used Outlook since
the '98 version, and if I remember correctly, newsgroups
could be setup using the same tools as email.

If anyone can help me out, I would appreciate it.

Thanx,

Lamont

Outlook never did support newsgroups natively - it uses Outlook Express
for that. There are some third-party add-ins in the works that will add
that capability for Outlook but I don't know if they are released yet.

Otherwise all Outlook offers is a menu item that launches Outlook Express
in /Newsonly mode.

I use Outlook's news reader--how can it be that it's "not supported
natively"?

View-->Go To-->News gets me there every time. Did I miss something?

View | Go To | News launches Outlook Express in /Newsonly mode. :-) It
may look (sort of) like Outlook but it really isn't.
