Setup domain to handle multiple SMTP servers after Exchange 2000server install

Hi,

I'm in the process of setting a Windows 2000 Server as a domain
controller (domain.com) & I will be installing Exchange 2000 Server to
handle multiple SMTP serving for domain.com & domain.net.

What I'm wanting to know is do I setup the domain controller as
domain.com and then setup exchange which will use domain.com & then add
domain.net as an additional SMTP server.

Do you actually mean "additional SMTP server" or do you mean, host multiple
internet domains for e-mail using Exchange? I'm presuming the latter - if

Should've also mentioned, for your future reference - Exchange questions are
best asked in microsoft.public.exchange.admin.

Also - your internal/AD domain name has nothing to do with your
public/internet domain name(s) - the two should really not match anyway.
Many people use mydomain.local for AD, or internal.myrealdomain.com....and
if at all possible, install Exchange on a member server, not a DC.
