Hi,
I'm trying to install win2k server on a 2 scsi disk poweredge 1750
At this moment I have only a single 6gb ntfs partition on disk 0
(the desidered result are two mirrored partition sda0 mirrored on
sdb0 and sda1 mirrored on sdb1). The mirror is software.
Array manager smc snap in (an utility from dell similar to the one
shipped with win2k) tells me that I have first to make both disk
"Dynamic" in order to be able to create a mirror, but when I try
to make that it warns me that
no previous installation of win wuold be bootable from that disk
after that operation. Could I erase my win installation that way?
Should have I make the disk 0 dynamic during installation?
Have I missed that point? Or there is another way of doing that?
TIA!
bye,
PiErre

This warning is to tell you that no previous versions of Windows (95, 98,
ME, NT4, that might currently be installed) will be able to boot from your
hard disks. Just ignore the warning and proceed, it will not harm your
current Win2000 installation.

This MS Knowledge Base article might help as well:

Thanks a lot! That's was exactly what I was hoping to hear...
