I
Ilene
I am running Windows XP Home Edition SP1 on a Dell 4500
with 40GB HD, 512MB RAM. I have four (4) logons set up.
Two (2) for my children and two(2) for Administrators
(myself and my husband).
My husband's logon is the only one affected. When we log
onto his side, all the settings that used to exsist-no
longer do. For example: There is no background
picture. When I change the setting in the Display
Properties it has no effect. Another example is the
taskbar. I am unable to un-lock the taskbar. I can
remove the check mark and click OK but it has no affect.
Neither does the option to make the program list scroll.
I cannot offer you any clue as to when this started
except to say I just noticed it. It has been some time
since we used his logon.
If there is no quick fix to this or a known issue
regarding this behavior, is removing the logon and
replacing it an option? I can save the items in his
documents folder to a CD and replace them but I'd
rather "fix" the problem if it is possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and I
look forward to the help that is sure to follow.
