setting view options in subfolders

Hi:
This should be incredibly simple, but alas...

When I use explore.exe it has a tendency to switch back
so that I view my folders and files as icons. Which I can
easily switch back to 'detailed' in the 'view' dropdown
menu on top.
I want to view everything as 'detailed'. I can reset
each folder to 'detailed' as I view them, but isn't there
a way to set up explorer so that everything is always
viewed as 'detailed'.

I have the folder options set so that folder are
supposed to remember how I want to view them.
Unfortunately every once in awhile they seem to decide on
their own that they should be viewed as icons.

Thanks

Rich

Hi

In Windows Explorer:

Tools\Folder Options...

Under the View tab, select the "Like Current Folder" button.
