setting up office on XP Professional?

I have windows xp professional and have just re-installed windows xp, as i
was havings problems with my computer. I have managed to re-install windows
xp, but i do not know how to install the office functions. I have tried all
the add/remove windows components etc. but i still cannot install microsoft
office. I am correct in that xp professional include the office functions?
as before i installed windows myself, i had all the office functions and they
all worked correctly. Please can you tell me now to install office, from my
windows xp professional disk? as i really have no idea, and really need to
use microsoft word! Thank you
 
No it doesnt
WinXP and Office are two entirely seperate Apps, installed with individual
cd's
Suggest you search for your cd's
 
oh! i thoug professional included office, I don't have any office cd's, just
the xp professional cd. whats the difference between professional and home
then?

Well - no version of Windows has ever included any version of Microsoft
Office.

Windows XP is an operating system.
Microsoft Office Suite is a bunch of products that can be installed onto
Windows XP with the proper installation media/product keys.

You need to locate your media for Office and install said product - if you
don't have said media - you will have to purchase it or start using another
product (like OpenOffice.)

In other words - Office isn't (never was) on your Windows XP Professional
CD - because it is a separate product.

Perhaps your PC came with it preinstalled? (Office or Word that is)
Suggest you look at your documentation, or the manufacturers web site
