Setting Up Network

I am trying to set up a network to share files and printing between two computers. One PC uses XP Home and the other PC uses Media Center, both are on service pack 2. I have a Sitecom router connected to cable broadband. Everything is connected using LAN cables rather USB.

I can connect to the internet using both computers. I have gone through the Network set up wizard (many times) on both computers and on the first PC to boot up I can see both PC's under 'view workgroup computers' However when I try to connect to the other PC I get an error stating that the workgroup is not accessible, and that I do not have permision to use the network resource. I have admin rights on both PC's

I am sure it is something very simple but does anybody have any ideas ?

look at your firewalls

should u have norton or mcafee on ANY machines it will prevent access get rid of these useless firewalls. u dont need them
