Setting-up names/e-mail addresses in 'CONTACTS' - last/first name

In Outlook 2003, I can't seem to be able to have the names of my 'contacts'
show-up in the 'TO' without the e-mail address as was possible in Outlook
2000. Plus, when I enter a 'new contact', the name keeps reverting to first
name/last name instead of last name/first name. Am I 'missing' something
here? I just recently installed Office 2003. I am quite used to that version!

The Email Display As field has been changed to show both the familiar name
and the email address in response to user requests. You can manually change
the Display As field if you really want to. It is of no consequence.
Go to Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or
address books > Outlook Address Book > Change. > Set your sort order there

You and I need to take a closer look at the behavior in the Display As field
with respect to the autocomplete.

I'm not sure about changing it in the Contact folder and the impact on the
NK2.

I would guess that changing the Display As field in a Contact Record would
have no effect on the entries in the NK2 file but would simply create a new
NK2 entry the next time a message is sent using the new Display As field. I
also bet that both the new and old Display As formats will appear as matches
the next time autocompletion is used. You guys have that matching algorithm
pretty much figured out, don't you?
