I have XP Professional running on a hp omnibook. I
computer is set up to access my corporate network through
a vpn connection.

I have a home network set up with Internet connection
Sharing between two other computers.

The XP software is able to access the web connection when
attached to the hub and allows me to do everything except
see the other two computers on the home network.

I think I need to install ICS on the laptop , but I am
concerned it may corupt my other network connections
(VPN).

The question is:

a) Can I install ICS without creating other network
issues in order to see the local network computers
without messing up my other connections?

ICS can only be run from one pc at a time - as it requires the ip address of
192.168.0.1 (i think)
If you can access the internet through the others ICS then that is ok -
To see the other network computers - you must enable file sharing and have
correct security settings
