Setting up more then one account

But how can you tell you have more then one account set up? How does it
separate the messages? Why did Microsoft have to screw pretty much
everything up?

Windows Mail will put email from all accounts in the same Inbox.
You can create folders, and create message rules to separate them.
To send from the different accounts, you pick it in the From: box.

The newer Windows Live Mail has separate inboxes, etc. for each account (too
much for me)

But I'd prefer to have the different messages for different accounts in
different folders, at least. Not just dumped hodge-podge in the inbox.

: Rayhne,
:
: I would go with Windows Live Mail then. It has separate inboxes per
: account. You can then sort them with message rules.

Windows Live Mail keeps each account in separate folders.
There is no need for message rules.

I can't even open messages in my Live Mail inbox sometimes. It is always
reverting to "classic". I switched to Thunderbird when I couldn't switch
identities reliably with Outlook Express. I was hoping to get away from its
lousy dictionary but not if my mail for two accounts ends up in the same
inbox.

Hi Puzzledinmn,

Are you using Windows Live Mail Beta?

For US and UK: 'http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas'

For non-US and non-UK locations (direct download):

I haven't used it, but I'm guessing "Live Mail" email will put
advertisements at the end of every message you send, just like
hotmail.
For some of us, that is absolutely no good at all. Instead, maybe
give Mozilla Thunderbird a try.

Hi Greg,

Windows Live Mail Beta does not have advertisments in it's emails or on
the program. It is just like Windows Mail, but better and more stable.

Better is questionable.
