setting up Microsoft Exchange

Our office has 3 computers. Two laptops and one main database computer.
Both laptops are networked to the database computer which is where our
internet access is set up. We want to start sharing our calendars and now
realize that we have to get set up with Microsoft Exchange. Can anyone give
me the "next step"? Do we donload Exchange onto the database computer or
onto the laptops? Does Exchage then become the default type of email account?
 
Exchange is a server and requires server hardware. See
http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/default.mspx for more details. You do not
download it, you purchase it, acquire the correct number of CALs, and then
install to a dedicated server to run Exchange.
