Bought Laptop with install win XP. Since laptop will be
hooked up to universities internet service in two weeks my
question is can i also set it up to work with my home
provider. Both are high speed intenet providers. I
understand Win XP will do most of the set up, but how
difficult or can it be even done to have two providers set
up such that when she travells back and forth from home to
univerity it will be an easy process to switch back and
fort between providers.
Thanks alot to whoever can help

Doug

As a suggestion before buying a Laptop/PC for your child to be used at college, check with the college and see which OS that they require to use their service. I have read that many require that you have XP Pro, NOT XPHome on your Laptop/PC. It will be better to have the right OS from the beginning, then having to pay for an upgrade later.

Hi,
You can set up multiple accounts. Windows will save the details, all you
have to do is activate the account wherever you are.
Start>
Control Panel>
Network Connections>
Right click connection and select an option to make it the default
connection.
Hope this helps!
