Hi All... I'm having the weirdest issue. I've got a Native 2000
network with a bunch of 2003 servers on it, all clients are XP SP2.
I'm setting up a new XP SP2 workstation and was planning on using it
to run Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) on it to manage AD since
there seems to be some issues running it from Vista.
I've got GPMC running on my new XP SP2 box, and can browse through all
my policies with GPMC... When I go in to edit one of the policies with
"Group Policy Object Editor", many of the options I have showing and
configured in the GPMC aren't even visible in the Group Policy
Editor? For instance, GPMC is showing a ton of options I have
configured under the Computer Config->Admin Templates->Windows
Components->Terminal Services structure, however, when I look at this
same structure under Group Policy Editor, I'm only seeing a "Client"
folder along with 2 entries to configure TS?
What am I missing? Do I need to overwrite my .ADM files in my XP's c:
\windows\inf directory with Windows 2003 SP1 .ADM files? I thought
that when Group Policy Editor started editing the policies, that it
used the DC's .ADM files to allow me to change its options... but from
what I'm seeing, it doesn't even know they exist?
I'd appreciate your help & advice!
Thanks,
Mike
