Setting up email

I have a Eudora program and can send but cannot receive email. My ISP
rejects any involvement since I can get mail in Yahoo and Hotmail. I cannot
use Microsoft Outlook Express at all. Neither send nor receive. HP Support
and Help has signed off after hours of trailing Microsoft KB. I have an
extensive address book in Eudora that I developed whenI used Win'98 and Win
2000 that I need to access off line.

Is this an interface problem? Does anyone have an idea what to do next?

First, you need to be sure your e-mail account information is properly set
up in Eudora, proper server names, password and ID and that can only come
from the source of the account be it your ISP or some other site on the
Internet.

If that information and setup is as it should be and you haven't made any
selections in Eudora that might prevent access to the account for receiving,
check your security applications. If your antivirus software scans incoming
e-mail, try shutting off just that option in your antivirus. If that
doesn't resolve it, check your firewall application. Check its logs for
entries that might indicate it is blocking incoming e-mail and check its
options to be sure you haven't told it to block something that might block
incoming e-mail.
