Has anyone had any success with this? I already have a router setup in my
network and just want to use the DI-740P as a print server.

Any help or tips would be appreciated.

I am not familiar with that device, but as long as you don't point the
client's default gateway to the IP of the router you should just be fine.
Also make sure that the IP address of the router is valid for your subnet.
That should be all you need to do (networking wise).

I apologize for my ignorance in advance...

Can you explain what is meant by "don't point the client's default gateway
to the IP of the router"?

Are you speaking of my existing router? or of this new D-Link router?
Also... what is the client in this case?

TIA
