setting up copy of psc1315 driver

You should be able to install a second copy of the printer and give it a unique
name, then set it up the way you want it.

BTW, make sure you install a second "printer" not a second driver (if the
installer gives you the option to install a different driver just say no).

I can't figure out how to install the second printer. every time I try
it wants to update the driver for the printer I have installed already.
I am sure I am just being stupid and can't see it. How do I install

XP Pro asks you that specific question in the Add Printer wizard. Maybe
not an option in XP Home? But it shouldn't hurt to reinstall the same
correct driver.
