Hello

I am not able to log in to my Hotmail account. I enter the user name and
password and then I am redirected back to the log in page. When I enter my
username and password again, and I am redirected back to my log in page. This
happens repeatedly.

Is this likely to be a cookie problem and, if so, how may I get around it?

Many thanks.

Delete any cookies associated with Hotmail.

Search your computer for a hidden file called HOSTS. Rename to HOSTS.OLD.
Test.

Hello Sandi

Very many thanks for your help. I'll try it when I get home, later, but how
will I identify Hotmail cookies as opposed to other types of cookies?

Cheers.

Steve.

Hello

I posted a message here yesterday which explained that I couldn't access my
Hotmail address (although I can access others, such as Yahoo!). I thought
this might have been a cookie problem, and a kind contributor suggested
deleting my Passport/Hotmail cookies (there were none) and renaming HOSTS to
HOSTS_OLD).

Windows, unfortunately, would not allow me to rename it, although, according
to the Task Manager, I had no programs open which might have been using the
HOSTS file.

Any advice would be welcome.

Thanks.

Steve
