Setting up an email account with aol

I have been trying to set up my email using my aol account, and I have
followed all the directions. After I am finished, my user name and password
keep being requested and it will not log me in. Then if I cancel it, and try
to send or recieve mail it says"The operation failed. An object could not be
found". How can I fix this?

Outlook verison? Which "all of the directions" did you follow?
