Setting up a VPN

I have just set up my machine at work (WinXP SP2) to accept incomming
connections.

The machine is part of a domain (NT4 server) which is connected to the
internet.

When I get home this evening I intend to attempt to connect to the VPN from
my home computer (WinXP SP1)

What I'd like to know is what I need to do on our domain server and the
NetPilot box that we use to connect to the internet to ensure that I'll be
able to connect. For example I know what IP address this computer has to the
outside world but will I be able to just set this in my home machine and
expect it to be able to get to my work machine?

Is there any way I can 100 confirm that everything is set up correctly
before I leave the office to save me getting home and fining that something
isn't right.

Thanks for any pointers you can give me,

elziko

Not without going to an outside connection... You can't test the VPN
from the LAN..
