I have a network that runs fine with 5 computers and a
server. My friend also has a network of 3 pc's. My friend
wants to connect to my network to gain access to my
shared files and resources. My friend has a modem but no
ISP and i was wondering if it was possible for my windows
XP pro machine with its modem connected to a phone line
to connect to his lan by him typing in my phone number.

Thanks in advanced for any help given

if you have a NT4.0, 2000 or 2003 server, you can use RAS, or RRAS,
for dial-in connections.
XP pro go to control panel, network connections, click on create a new
connection, click on setup an advanced connection, you will know what
to do from there. don't know this only allow to access single computer
or entire network like server does.
