Hi

I run Outlook 2000 on a large network. I would like to set up my calander so
that I can enter a "booking date" for a conference room and have it so that
everyone else on the network can see the date that the conference room was
booked for. Is this possible?

Your help is much appreciated

Thanks

Hi,

I assume you are a user in a large network with Exchange server in it? If
so, you will have to talk to the IT guy because (s)he will have to set that
up.
If your network is not using exchange server it won't be possile.

regards,
John

Hi

Thanks for your prompt response. Microsoft Exchange Server is installed on
all the computers on the network. Can you give me some advice on how I can
achieve my otiginal request?

Thanks

John

For every resource you will have to create a user account in the active
directory and give it a mailbox in Exchange.
Log on with the username and password of the resource and set up an outlook
profile.
Open Outlook and
On the Tools menu, click Options, and then click Calendar Options.
Click Resource Scheduling.
Click the options you want.
Click Set Permissions
Click the Permissions tab, and then click Add.
In the Type name or select from list box, enter the name of each person you
want to grant permissions to, clicking Add after each name.
Click OK.
In the Permission Level list, click Author.

Thanks again. Unfortunately I know very little about Outlook so I am not
sure what you mean by:

"For every resource you will have to create a user account in the active
directory and give it a mailbox in Exchange.
Log on with the username and password of the resource and set up an outlook
profile."

The second part I think I can work through.

Apologies for taking up your time.

John
