Setting Up A Password-Protected Subweb

I want to allow a select group of visitors, to my web
site, to be able to click on a button that allows them
access, via password, to an unpublicized subweb within my
site . . . just like a clients-only section of a web site.

I specifically want a requester to pop up . . . that
treats the visitor as a guest ONLY, and requires a
password that I have provided them with. Then, they
enter, view the protected materials to their heart's
content, and that is all. End of line.

What steps can I take to make this happen? Again, I have
no intention of "adding users" and giving them access to
my web site permissions. No adding of anything going on
here. I simply need (1) click on a button, (2) requester
asks for password, (3) password is provided and OK is
clicked, and (4) visitor is allowed access.

Thanks, in advance, for any assistance you can provide.

If you have access to the FP2002 Admin function on your host server and can
set unique permissions on a subweb, then you just need to create a single
user and password for the subweb, otherwise contact you host and see if they
will set up a single user account with password for a folder (subweb) on
your account.
