I am trying to set up a local domain to be called 'ouroffice.local'.
We are in a satellite office connected to our main office via a VPN. Our
network IP addressing is 10.0.0.x.
We access an accounting server over the VPN using terminal emulation
software from 4 of our 14 workgroup computers. The accounting server is in a
different IP network using 192.168.1.x.
Our network is a workgroup environment. The main office is a domain
environment.
Recently, we found a need to set up a Windows 2000 Server as a domain
controller with AD on our side of the VPN to demonstrate a document
management package. However, we don't need to be part of the domain of the
main office. I was planning on setting up a Windows 2000 Server with 2 client
computers.
Is this possible?
Thanks for your input.
