Hi,
I have over 2000 users logging onto a LAN. The majority of
these users have there DNS entries entered manuelly in
their I.P settings. Others are obtaining there DNS entries
from the DHCP server. All are W2000 clients.
We are migrating to two new DNS servers in the coming
weeks. Their addresses will be updated on the DHCP server
which will ensure that the minority of users will be
completely unaffected. However the majority of users will
need there DNS manuel entries changed or the setting to
obtain the DNS entries from the DHCP to be selected.
What I want and hope to do is to specify the DNS servers
that all clients logging onto the domain should use, by
using group policy in active directory but I do not know
how to do this. Anybody that has any ideas are can provide
any assistance, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
