How do I change the default folder for my Outlook 2003? I know where it was
in 2000, but can not find it anywhere in 2003. I don't keep my achives or
local .pst file in the standard directory and want to change Outlook to
reflect my personal preferences in this area.

Hi Ernie,
first be sure, that you can see all hidden files.
The pst file is in the default path
C:\Documents and Settings\[username]\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook
after that, if you have found it, please move your pst file to the location
you want!
Start Outlook. And Outlook will ask you, where the pst file is!

Andreas,

Thanks for the response, but it does accomplish what I am looking for.

I'm trying to change the default setting, and your solution only
"educates" Outlook on where this particular pst file is located. When I
executed File/Open/Outlook Data File, it still looks at the standard
default directory set up when the software was installed.

It was easy in Outlook 2000, perhaps Microsoft was taken away yet
another user definable option in 2003??
