Setting the default language in PowerPoint 2007

Hi,

I'm trying to create a default template for PowerPoint 2007 and to
have the Language settings for the date/time on Notes and Handouts set
to English UK. I can set it for the slides and it remembers it in the
template but for Notes and Handouts it doesn't.

Here's what i do and what happens:

Load template
Go to Insert menu, then 'Header and Footer'
Select 'Notes and Handouts'
Tick 'Date and Time'
Set Language to English UK
Click Apply
Save template

When I load up the template next the settings above are not
remembered.

Anyone got any ideas?

What do you want to achieve by setting the default language? In what
scenario are you going to be using that template?

This template gets installed into the users templates profile when they log
in and is done by a GPO. I work at a university and we want all staff and
students to have by default (but not greyed out so they can change it) set to
English UK as their default language.

You should be aware then that the actual (default) language used when
typing text is determined by the current Windows input language and that
a default setting doesn't override that.
