Please excuse any incorrect terminology, I am not that familiar with the
Exchange Server.

We are working in a team of 9 people supported by a Corporate Exchange
server (nationwide for many people).

My boss wants to see a shared calendar by each of us which we have set up
successfully. We seldom/never us the appointment request functions of
Outlook.

We would like to have Outlook open the Shared Calendar by default for
viewing and appointment setting.

I have read several messages regarding how to set the Shared Calendar as the
default. These seem to involve setting the Exchange Server as the default
delivery location for mail....

My concern is that this will have an effect on our e-mail.

Can someone explain further the impact of changing the default delivery
locations. also would like to get pointers to "How to documents" for both
Outlook 2000 and Outlook 2003.

thank You

Each user has only one default Calendar folder -- and that is always the one in their default information store, which in an Exchange environment should be the mailbox, not a .pst file. The default cannot be a shared folder.

http://www.slipstick.com is a good place to start for how-to information.
