I have been Trying to configure my outlook 2002 to send and resieve mails
from gmail.com (pop is free to all in this site). the settings given by gmail
for pop works well with Outlook express 5 but Outlook 2002 fails to send any
message with the settings provided by Gmail, though I am able to send the
mail using the same settings via Outlook 2002. Please help

On the email changing and viewing screen have you clicked on more settings
and then the advanced tab and then set the inbound port to 995? That's the
most common problem/overlooked setting with Gmail when people use a client
with it. You'll also want to configure it to use authentication for outbound
mail and make sure that the port's set to the right one.
