Hi,

I have 4 PC's that are linked together in a Home Network using MSHOME.
How do I go about setting up the group policy, so that anyone who might
happen to get into my network, is not able to access networked file shares?

Thanks,

JC

Are you using XP Pro, or Home? XP Home can't use group policy (and you can't
disable simple file sharing in Home either). At any rate, Group Policy isn't
where you set access permissions on files or folders... if you have XP Pro,
you can disable simple file sharing. Then you'd need to create identical
user accounts & passwords on each computer (whether they're used for
people's logins or not) and set share and NTFS permissions on the folders
in question.

Regardless of OS version, you should protect your network from unauthorized
access from the Internet, using a decent firewall appliance.
