I have friend with a company laptop that is locked down pretty tight. He'd
like to be able to access the Internet from his home router (not wireless
for now) but I can't get the DNS entries to change. His IP config is set to
use DHCP and all the other settings change when he connects to his home
router but the DNS servers remain pointing to his company's internal
servers. I can access the web by number so I know all the other metrics are
in place. I can't access the IP configuration screens because of security
restrictions and was wondering if anyone knew either:
a) why the DNS settings aren't changing
b) if there is a way to "programatically" change the DNS servers via the
registry or something
Thanks.
