Q

How do you set a program as default if it isn't listed in the default
programs list?

Its installed and working correctly. I have associated it with
particular file types but it wont let me change any protocols without
having it in the list.

Cheers for your help.

What program are you referring to?

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.

I want to set Firefox as my default browser.

Cool. That one's easy. :0)

Click on the Start Menu
Type "Default Programs" in the search box and enter
Then click through the UAC annoyances (& enter password if
requested)..
Then click on "Set Program Access And Computer Defaults"
Get nagged again (needlessly as far as I'm concerned) by UAC (& enter
password if requested).
Then click on "Custom"
The first thing there is "Choose My Default Web Browser".
Click on "Mozilla Firefox"
While you're there you can scroll down and make any other changes that
might interest you.
After that you've made all the changes you desire, click "OK"
You'll get some boxes popping up as Windows makes the changes.
Yer done.
