setting BLANK as default layout

How do I set the blank slide as the default PPT layout?

I go Home > Slides > Layout. But, it will not *change* the title slide to
blank or allow me to set blank as default for all slides. Instead, if I
choose it, it adds a blank slide after the title slide. Then, I have to
manually delete the title slide.

Any thoughts?

If you select the title slide in the slide thumbnail pane, it should change
to blank.

To set the default to blank, get Shyam's "set default layout" add-in at
