How do you combine a hyperlink/bookmark together so that the link takes you
to a page and at the same time it takes you exactly to the area on the
page... you want to be at.

I have a bookmark set so that a user can click a hyperlink and it takes to
that bookmark. Now I would like to get to the same bookmark from another
page.

Can these two things be combined so that it works with one click?

What Thomas said.
If you want a little more detail, right click the the
item/text that you are creating the hyperlin with, then
select or type the url (if it's not the same page). In
that same dialogue box, there's a bookmark button on the
right (up a bit), click it then select the bookmark that
you said you had already setup.
It works. I just tried this a few days ago. It's a nice
feature. Diana

If it is not the same page, then the page needs to be open in FP to see the bookmarks on it in the
hyperlink dialog.

Wow Thomas ... I didn't know the page with the bookmark
had to be open. When I discovered this (within the last
10 days), the destination page must have been open (i.e.,
the one with the bookmark). I would have gone a little
crazy trying to do this again, if the page with the
bookmark wasn't open. Thanks for taking the time to add
that important note. You're such a wealth of info.

Ummm....
I have not found it necessary to have the page "open". The hyperlink dialog screen gives you the option of searching anywhere for a page and also offers an open page, web page, current page, or any other page. Select the page you want, go to bookmarks and select the one you want. One note: If the page is open, it must be saved before any bookmarks will be available for other hyperlinks. Thomas, please pardon if I am incorrect.

Not sure this is true (at least for FP2002)?

In the 'edit hyperlink' dialog, you can navigate to the page you want, then
single click it to display that page and it's path in the address box at the
bottom, the clicking the bookmarks button shows the bookmarks in that page.
It doesn't seem that it needs to be open, simply selected so that it appears
in the address box at the bottom.

Sorry, sound like that function has been fixed, which is great.

I still use FP2000, and rarely have a need to use bookmarks as I have replace their functionality by
using ASP.
