Hi Everyone,

I was wondering, if it is possible to do the following.

I have created a descriptive object and would like to have
the current show close and go to another presentation when
object is chosen.

I have tried to set the text's hyperlink to close and
a "Close Action" to the surrounding button.

Any assistance is alway greatly appreciated. Thank you in
advance.

Cannot assign more than 1 action to an object. But you should be able to
accomplish the desired effect by assigning a link to the next show and
having Shyam's 'single slide show' add-in close the "old" presentation.

Hi Troy,

Thank you so much for your advice. Downloaded and it
worked. Just had to do a little reconfiguring of the
whole show as the add-in can't be assigned to only one of
the shows. (The entire show consists of several mini shows)

Thank again Elli

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for
(option to close current show when following link open another presentation
slide show) without resorting to VBA or add-ins.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality (without having to resort to
VBA or add-ins), don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS,
please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
